Formulation of Liquid Hand Wash

Here is a detailed formulation for Hand Wash with percentages and a method of making:

Ingredients:

Water - 64%

Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) - 12%

Cocamidopropyl Betaine - 8%

Glycerin - 2%

Sodium Chloride - 0.5%

Fragrance oil - 0.5%

Preservative - 0.5%

Pearlizer (e.g. Glycol Distearate) - 2%

Citric Acid - 0.1%

Instructions:

In a clean and dry mixing vessel, add water and then slowly add SLES with stirring until it gets completely dissolved.

Add Cocamidopropyl Betaine, and continue stirring gently.

Add Glycerin and stir well.

Add Sodium Chloride and continue stirring until it gets completely dissolved.

Add the fragrance oil and stir gently to mix.

Slowly add the pearlizer while stirring continuously. Make sure there are no lumps in the mixture.

Finally, add the preservative and Citric Acid, and stir well to ensure proper mixing.

Check the pH level and adjust it to between 5.5 and 6.5 using Citric Acid or Sodium Hydroxide (if required).

Allow the mixture to rest for at least 24 hours to ensure that it has completely thickened and achieved a milky appearance.

Check the consistency of the hand wash, and if it is too thick, adjust it by adding some water, and if it is too thin, add some pearlizer.

Pour the hand wash into a suitable bottle or dispenser and label it.
